As the light is almost entirely emitted in the range of 400 to 500 nm and reaches its peak at 450 nm, the Philips PL-L/PL-S color 52 lamps have no radiation from the short-wave UVB wavelength range. They are therefore suitable for use in systems for applications such as agriculture and neonatal jaundice phototherapy. By emitting a full spectrum of a high color temperature, the PL-L /953 lamps are ideal for treating SAD.
